Completing Occupational Therapy Medicolegal Assessments and Independent Medical Examinations (IME) and reports which accurately represents the functional needs of a person who is incapacitated following injury or illness as a result of an event that has led to litigation.
We are based in Brisbane, however, are able to travel within Queensland and interstate to meet claimant's in their home or workplace if required.
What We Stand For
At Opus we have a clinically experienced Occupational Therapist who demonstrates a high level skill of professional judgement and is engaged to provide OT Medicolegal assessments and reports within her areas of professional expertise.
We are bound by the relevant Expert Witness Codes of Conduct as expressed by the courts as well as the
professional Codes of Conduct that guide Occupational Therapy.
We are committed to practice impartially in the medicolegal forum, with a primary commitment being to provide the court with an accurate and objective opinion on the areas of referral and within the scope of Occupational Therapy. In so doing, we participate in evidence-informed practice, enabling objective validation for all opinions and recommendations provided as an Expert Witness consistent with the Expert Witness Code of Conduct.
